A solid, charmless but competent wine, the dark plum/ruby-colored 2011 Camensac reveals sweet, herbal, red and black currant fruit, medium body and a lightly tannic finish.
About the Producer
Located in the village of Saint-Laurent in Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux, bordering the Saint-Julien appellation, Chateau de Camensac is one of the few Grand Cru Classés in the Haut-Medoc. Although the Haut-Medoc appellation does not have the same impressive track record as the four great villages of the Médoc, the quality of the wines produced is still highly praised. The main wine, the Second De Camensac, Haut-Medoc, France, is of excellent quality and has often received over 90 points from leading wine critics and wine reviewers.
