A blend of 64% Merlot and 36% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Nenin delivers aromas of cherries, violets, sweet berries and rose petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy palate that's rich, succulent and seamless, its ample core of fruit largely concealing its sweet, powdery tannins.

Aromas of plums, dark berries, tobacco leaf and violets introduce the 2022 Nenin, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine that's enveloping and pillowy, with good depth of fruit, sweet tannin and a suave, seamless profile. This blend of 64% Merlot and 36% Cabernet Franc is one of the finest Nenins produced in recent times.

The 2022 Nénin has mustered a tad more restraint and composure than when tasted from barrel. I would not describe it as amazingly complex, though it channels a kind of classicism that I appreciate, more so than other vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. Thanks to the expressive Cabernet Franc (36%) and graphite-infused finish, it's quite Left Bank in style. Afford this a couple of years in bottle.

A juicy and crunchy red with blackberry, chocolate, hazelnut. Mocha. Full to medium body with a creamy texture. Lots going on here. 64% merlot and 36% cabernet franc.

A plummy but complex and refined nose with some baking spices, cedar, hibiscus and ripe red cherries. Juicy and round, this has a linear, medium-bodied palate evenly coated with fresh fruit and silky tannins. 64% merlot and 36% cabernet franc. Drink from 2027.
