The 2021 Marojallia offers up aromas of jammy berry fruit, fresh mint and creamy new oak, followed by a full-bodied, ample palate that's rich and extracted, with a broad, low-acid profile and a hefty payload of chewy tannin.

The 2021 Marojallia was cropped between 29 September and 12 October and matured in 25% new oak. It has a very perfumed bouquet with wild rose petal infusing the vibrant red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannins, but it builds and fleshes out nicely towards the finish and it feels harmonious and persistent. It should drink well for 12-15 years.

A very pretty wine with aromas and flavors of dark currants, walnuts and stone. Medium body. Juicy and refined with very fine tannins. Solid at the end for the vintage.
About the Producer
When the first vintage wine was launched, there were only 2.5 hectares of vineyards. Later, Philippe Polcheron purchased another 1.5 hectares of vineyards. Today, the total vineyard area of the Marrocians is 4 hectares. The garden is planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, with an average age of 25 years, harvested by hand. The vines are planted at a density of 10,000 plants/ha, but yields are only 2,500 litres/ha. The wines of Château Maroga are usually vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel barrels, followed by Malolactic Fermentation in wooden barrels. The real wines are all aged for 18 to 24 months in new French oak barrels before bottling, with an annual output of about 1,250 cases. The wines launched by the winery include Chateau Marojallia Clos Margalaine, Chateau Marojallia Benjamin De Margalaine, and Marojallia Clos Margalaine. Chateau Marojallia Rose De Margalaine. Although the distinctive winemaking concept of Chateau Maroga has been questioned by many local wineries, its excellent quality is the best proof.
