The bold, rich 1990 has a bouquet similar to the 1989, with its sweet, forward, leathery, spicy, toffee, caramel, and berry-scented nose. There is plump, ripe fruit, medium body, fine flesh, and a long finish. Drink it over the next 7-12 years.

The 1990 de Sales is similar to both the 1989 and 1982 with its sweet, forward, leathery, spicy, berry-scented nose that also reminds me of toffee and/or caramel. In the mouth, there is plump, ripe fruit, medium body, fine flesh, and a moderately long finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
