Here is a very successful interpretation of Trinoro's signature wine style. The 2011 Tenuta di Trinoro is mostly Cabernet Franc (90%) with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot in reduced background roles. This very warm vintage saw no Merlot used in the blend. This wine truly stands out. It is expressive and endowed with an important sense of drama and darkness The fruit comes forth in ripe, chewy and slightly sweet waves of intensity with blackberry preserves, cherry compote, spice and pipe tobacco. The wine shows great density and structure. The tannins are thick and broad in formation.

If you love Franchetti's signature style, the 2011 Tenuta di Trinoro is especially massive. The 2011 heat and drought contributed to further intensify the sweet fruit used to make this wine. The wine is 90% Cabernet Franc with small parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, aged in new oak and cement vats. Only 500 cases were made. This wine shows high- voltage intensity and elegance with big, brooding blackness that moves slowly on the inside of the glass. The finish is soft, supple and highlighted by pretty mineral shadings. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2030. Andrea Franchetti is one of the most extreme winemakers in Italy who prefers massively reduced yields and richly extracted fruit. His winery is located in Sarteano, southern Tuscany. Importer: T. Edward Wines; www.tedwardwines.com

A pure expression of Merlot, the 2011 Palazzi is loaded tight with soft notes of overripe fruit and strawberry. This wine doesn-t deliver the same focused intensity as the others and the jammy fruit will prove over-the-top for most. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. The 2011 Tenuta di Trinoro is fabulous. Bitter chocolate, espresso, blackberry jam, grilled herbs, violets, mint and cloves are just some of the many notes that resonate off the palate. Unapologetically ripe, viscous and full-bodied to the core, the 2011 somehow manages to also be winderfully complex and nuanced. My impression is that the wine needs at least a few years to lose its considerable baby fat. There is a lot to look forward to here. The 2011 an unusual blend of 85% Cabernet Franc, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.

About the Producer

Tenuta di Trinoro is located in the Tuscany wine region of Italy. The Val d'Orcia is located between the mountains south of Siena and Mount Amiata, much like a huge bowl of green earth, the winds circling in the valley shield the area from rain And the attack of bad weather is conducive to the production of unique wines. Winemaker Andrea Franchetti of Black Swan Winery has spent many years researching the soil characteristics and terroir of the region, and is committed to producing high-quality wines that perfectly reflect the unique terroir of the wine grapes. wine. The vineyards of Black Swan Winery are between 450 meters and 600 meters above sea level. They are built on mountains, on the southwest slope of the Orcia Valley, with plenty of sunlight and a dry climate. The soils of the vineyards are mainly composed of deep gravel soils, calcareous clays and fluvial sedimentary soils. The main grape varieties grown in the garden are Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Semillon and Petit. Verdot) et al. According to different altitudes and soil characteristics, the winery grows the most suitable grape varieties and strictly manages them. The classic wine of Black Swan Winery, Tenuta di Trinoro blended wine, has slight differences due to the different grape harvest years, from which you can taste the weather of the Orcia Valley. In addition, the winery also produces a series of wines such as Palazzi, Magnacosta and Le Cupole, which are very popular among consumers. Among them, Le Cupole is made from high-quality grapes that have been harvested 36 times, and the style is very unique.
