The 2020 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru, which contains 30% whole bunch, is slightly more backward on the nose compared to th Les Champans. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy, ripe black cherry and raspberry fruit laced with clove and white pepper. Solid and quite grippy on the finish, there has fine persistence and should age with style. Closure: Diam 5

Domaine Joseph Voillot is located in Volnay, a small wine village a few kilometres from Beaune.The 13 appellations of the estate are all produced with equal care in the purest Burgundian tradition with respect for our terroirs. Domaine Joseph Voillot is managed by Etienne Chaix, grandson of Joseph and nephew of Jean-Pierre Charlot who has taken a step back but remains on hand when needed. Reasoned agriculture is part of every intervention in our vine parcels for the best possible results, and our intention is to always make the best decisions keeping the environment in mind. Our farm has been awarded the high environmental value (HVE) certification.
