Description
Colore is the highest expression of Bibi Graetz dream, from very old vineyards of Sangiovese. Poor soils mixed with sand and stone and high altitude create the perfect terroir for a wine that tells a lot about Tuscany and its ancient taste. Only the best few barrels of the whole production will become Colore.

This combination is the result of 2009 peculliarity which deliver an incredible energy”----Bibi Graetz 2009 in Tuscany will be remembered for the cold winter and frequent rains during spring and lower average temperatures in summer with great temperature variations from day and night during the last months of the growing seasons and harvest. The harvest was posponed 2 weeks, starting 26th of September finishing the 2nd November. This exceptional combination of climate produced some of the most elegant wines in Tuscany.

I love the balance and beauty to this red with dried-strawberry, cherry and flower character. Full-bodied but reserved and polished. Ultra-fine tannins. Lively, creamy acidity. I like the volcanic salt undertone to the fruit. Drink or hold.

A chewy and fruity wine with blackberry, blueberry and cedar. Some flowers. It’s full-bodied and round. Slightly hollow in the center palate. Drink now.
About the Producer
Bibi Graetz is one of the best wine producers in Tuscany, which has become famous for its Soffocone di Vincigliata, Colore, Testamatta Rosso and Bianco wines. Its grapes come from vines of about 80 years of age, the autochthonous: Sangiovese, Colorino and Cannaiolo. The Bibi Graetz estate is located in Vincigliata, a small village behind the Fiesole hill.
