Derived from old vines planted in the stonier, upper reaches of Morgeot, Dancer's 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Tête du Clos is once again one of the high points of the range, bursting with aromas of pear, orange zest, white flowers, freshly baked bread and toasted nuts. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and textural, with a fleshy core of fruit, racy acids and an elegantly gourmand profile, it will offer a broad drinking window.
About the Producer
Vincent Dancer cultivates 6 hectares of land across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard and Beaune, family vines that he took up in 1996 after his oenology training. He got things going on his own at the family property, where he went on to build a winery in 1997. Since 2012, his vines have had organic certification. Vincent Dancer has shown himself to be talented and creative in his work, particularly succeeding in the maturation of his cuvées. His wines are remarkable, characterised by their purity and finesse.
