Tasting notes

Reviewed by: Neal Martin
The 2002 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru has a reduced bouquet that seems to occlude the terroir expression, renders the aromas "foggy". The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, good weight and volume and yet there is little in the way of precision or mineralité here. Average. Tasted at Sarah Marsh MW’s 2002 Red Burgundy tasting.
