Restrained aromas of licorice, red and black fruit, fresh violets, mint and cocoa. The attack is firm, with dusty yet ripe tannins, a full body and crisp acidity. Powerful in the finish, but it will evolve. Try after 2027.

The 2021 Barolo Cannubi is dense and powerful right out of the gate. Broad, ample and explosive, the 2021 has it all. Time in the glass brings out the wine's aromatic presence. Readers will find a Barolo of tremendous structure and pedigree. Blue-toned fruit, leather, licorice, incense and dried flowers are all amplified to the maximum. All this needs is time. The only question is how much. Sadly, production is just 4,000 bottles. Magnificent.
