The 2012 Brut Cuvée Joséphine constitutes only the 10th edition of this iconic cuvée, coming after 1982, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1998, 2002, 2004 and 2008. Composed of 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir, it has an intense bouquet with aromas of orchard fruits, spring flowers, warm biscuits, lemon oil and mint, as well as smoky hints. Very delicate and pure, moderately weighted and perfectly balanced, the palate shows remarkable tension and finesse on the finish. This Champagne is approachable now but also built to evolve with grace over the next three to four years.
About the Producer
From 1950 to 1980, Roger's son Georges Pithos took over the Joseph Perrier family. Joseph Perrier's emotions remain unchanged: capturing fulfillment, strong truth, and simple moments of perfection. That is the desire to share it with those who recognize it. In 1888, Paul Pithos, the rightful heir of the Joseph Perrier family, took power and continued to pursue excellence. Joseph Perrier was founded in 1825 and is located in the Champagne region of Sharon. It was established by Joseph Perrier and is located at a former coach hotel. Joseph Peril quickly achieved success, especially abroad.
