The 2022 Couhins Blanc reveals an abundance of peach, citrus, pear, anise and spring flowers, overlaid by nuances of spices and fennel. Medium-bodied, bright and incisive, the palate is nicely balanced with a long, salty and penetrating finish. This is reliably one of the better white wines of Bordeaux these days, and it deserves to be better know.

The 2022 Couhins Blanc, a blend of 93% Sauvignon Blanc and 7% Sauvignon Gris, is showing well today, evoking aromas of white fruits, lemon, lemon peel, spring flowers and fennel. Medium to full-bodied, juicy and enrobing, it's fresh and lively with a perfumed mid-palate that segues into a long, mouthwatering finish.
About the Producer
Château Couhins is a Bordeaux wine estate from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, ranked among the Grands Crus Classés for dry white wine in the Classification of Graves wine of 1959. The winery is located in close Southern vicinity of the city of Bordeaux, in the commune of Villenave-d'Ornon. The estate also produces a red Grand vin, red and dry white second wines named "Couhins La Gravette", and a red third wine, "La Dame de Couhins".
