Tasting notes

Reviewed by: Neal Martin
The 2023 Clos de Vougeot Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a plush nose with red cherries, kirsch, marmalade and incense aromas that have a slightly Mediterranean personality—finely delineated and more open-knit than the Cuvée Classique. The palate is well structured with finely chiseled tannins. It is a little savory in style with a persistent peppery finish. The 2023 is excellent, although the 2022 will probably have the "legs" for long-term cellaring.
