Tasting notes

Bright red-ruby. Aromas of cherry, licorice, menthol and fresh herbs are given further punch by pungent minerality. Juicy but a bit youthfully clenched, showing less fat than the 2015 version. The flavors of black cherry and licorice are quite penetrating but the wine's serious tannins call for considerable aging. This wine was only bottled in mid-June of 2016, after having spent three months in stainless steel tanks.

Bright, dark red. Aromas of redcurrant and licorice dominate the nose. The palate offers very good texture and density, with dark berry and licorice flavors enlivened by a mineral element. Finishes with a firm backbone of slightly dry tannins and mounting length.
