The 2020 Blason de l'Évangile represents around half the volume this year a majority from younger vines and as a result of a parcel selection. It matured in used barrel and 5-6% in amphora. It has a pretty nose with black cherries, flint and light blood orange scents. Well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft and supple entry, velvety smooth with a subtle marine/seaweed influence towards the finish. A capable second wine.

A beautiful second wine with black olives, tapenade, black berries, plums and chocolate. Medium to full body. Lovely fruit and spice. So complex and complete. Shows purity and excellence. A step up for this wine. 25% in concrete. Drink or hold.
About the Producer
The Blason de L'Evangile, chosen from vats with the same bases as the great wine, presents characteristics close to the great wine with, however, a lesser aging potential since its aging in barrels is shorter. It should be drunk younger than its elder.
