Tasting notes

The 2021 Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy is pretty and aromatic, bursting with notes of orange zest, green apple, white flowers and oyster shell, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and racy palate that concludes with a long, saline finish.

The 2021 Chablis Beauroy 1er Cru comes from 1.1-hectares split over three parcels in Troisème with a southerly-orientation. It has a "sunny" bouquet with hints of yellow plum and quince, but still well-defined and focused, a light flintiness emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with ample weight, fine acidity, not terribly complex and maybe it doesn't deliver the same definition as Fèvre's other Premier Crus on the finish. But it should drink well for several years.
About the Producer
Domaine William Fèvre is arguably one of Chablis’ greatest domaines. Following Fèvre’s retirement in 1998, the estate was sold to the Henriot family. Since then, head winemaker Didier Séguier, has steered what was then an oaky style of Chablis, to one that was much more terroir driven. The resulting wines are showing amazing purity and concentration, expressing the unique personality and minerality of each vineyard. Domaine William Fèvre owns the largest array of Premier and Grands Crus vineyards in Chablis. The estate has been farmed organically since 2006 with selected parcels farmed biodynamically.
