About the Producer
Vouette et Sorbée is a celebrated winery in the Aube region of Champagne, France, founded by winemaker Bertrand Gautherot. The estate is committed to organic and biodynamic practices, having been certified since 1998, and focuses on cultivating its vineyards without synthetic chemicals. The winery specializes in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, sourced from chalky soils that impart a distinctive character to its Champagnes. Vouette et Sorbée produces a diverse range of elegant and complex wines, renowned for their minerality and expression of the Aube’s terroir. With manual harvesting and traditional pressing methods, the winery emphasizes natural fermentation using yeasts from the grape skins. The result is a selection of vibrant Champagnes, including unique cuvées like the skin-macerated Pinot Blanc and a rosé that showcases the unique Kimmeridgian soil. The winery's philosophy celebrates patience and authenticity, appealing to wine enthusiasts in search of original, expressive wines.
