Dancer's 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot is open and enveloping, delivering aromas of apricot, peaches, clear honey, toasted almonds and white flowers, followed by a textural, generous palate that's lively and expansive. As readers will remember, this parcel was planted in 2013 at a density of 20,000 vines per hectare.
About the Producer
Vincent Dancer cultivates 6 hectares of land across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Pommard and Beaune, family vines that he took up in 1996 after his oenology training. He got things going on his own at the family property, where he went on to build a winery in 1997. Since 2012, his vines have had organic certification. Vincent Dancer has shown himself to be talented and creative in his work, particularly succeeding in the maturation of his cuvées. His wines are remarkable, characterised by their purity and finesse.
