About the Producer
Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères is a vineyard that produces many different wines, from the elusive and expensive Domaine d'Auvenay to some very small and interesting cuvées from new and exciting producers. Jacqueline Collardot is the owner and winemaker of this 2.5-hectare estate in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. Jacqueline inherited her vineyard in 2010 from her father, Pierre Thomas, who made wine until 1992. The vineyards originated three generations ago on Henry Chavy's estate and the vines were brought into marriage by Maurice Thomas. From 1992 to 2010, the vines were planted by Jacqueline's cousins Philippe and Hubert Chavy before she brought them back to the winery to create Thomas Domaine Thomas-Collardot, whose first vintage is 2015. The estate may be small, but the quality so far has been excellent and with the construction of new vineyards, the Thomas Corrado estate has a great future ahead of it. The style is clear and consistent - lively, pure, crisp wines - delicate acidity, and the wines ripen to a perfect level.
