Chateau Thenac is located 100 kilometers east of Bordeaux in France - Perigord in the Bergerac region of France. It is a winery with a long history. The history of the winery can be traced back to around 1109 AD. The vineyards of Château Snark are located in the village of Snark (Thenac) in Perigord, covering a total area of 200 hectares. Known as the 'Purple Perigord', this charming land has a reputation for producing high-quality dry red, dry and sweet white wines. In addition to the large vineyards on the rolling hillsides, there are also plum orchards, dense woodlands, lakes, and farmland. The soil types in the garden are mainly clay and limestone, and the soil quality and terrain are varied, which is conducive to providing the most suitable growing environment for various grape varieties. The vineyards of Château Snark enjoy their own unique climate: the vineyards are distributed on hills at an altitude of 150 meters to 200 meters, the average temperature is 2.5°C lower than that of Bordeaux, and the rainfall is less, so they can receive more sunshine . This microclimate allows the grapes of Snark Winery to maintain the best quality of natural freshness. There are seven grape varieties planted in the garden: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec for red grapes, and Sauvignon Blanc for white grapes. Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle. Every time the grapes mature, the grapes in the garden will be picked manually. Like the traditional brewing process in Bordeaux, the grapes of Chateau Snark are fermented in large oak fermentation tanks, and the resulting wine will be matured in French oak barrels.
