In the bottle with the black label, the Talenti 2019 Brunello di Montalcino (with 35,000 bottles produced) is a wine of above average intensity, and it shows a steady delivery of dark aromas with blackcurrant, pitted plum, potting soil and a pungent fragrance that recalls black baccara rose. This is a rich and open-knit Brunello with velvety tannins and a full-bodied mouthfeel. This is your proverbial meat-and-potatoes Brunello to serve on a winter evening (a few years from now).

Perfumed, with red berries, cherries and a hint of rose stem in the nose. Medium-bodied with lots of wood and richness. Chewy and slightly austere, but it should soften with age and come together. Try after 2026.
About the Producer
The Talenti winery was founded in 1980, when Pierluigi Talenti decided to buy the property and land that had so fascinated him and made him fall in love since the fifties, a period in which he decided to move from the mountains of Romagna to the sweet and sunny hills of Montalcino. Since 1999 the property is followed by the family under the direction of the Riccardo Talenti, who combines respect for tradition with a search for new technologies and an eye to the future continues the work with the same passion.Currently, the company has a total area of 40 hectares of which 21 hectares of vineyards, 16 are cultivated in Sangiovese, partly selected in the territory of Montalcino directly over the years by Pierluigi, from which he obtained a product of great character and personality.
