About the Producer

Domaine Jean-Marc Morey was owned by Sylvain Morey and it located in Burgundy, france. Sylvain has dedicated the past few decades to establishing his own estate, Bastide du Claux, situated in the Luberon region south of Burgundy. Through his own project and the invaluable experience gained from working alongside his father, Sylvain has evolved into a thoughtful and self-assured winemaker. While he holds great respect for his father's traditional methods, Sylvain also brings his own unique perspective to the table. He intends to divide his time between Chassagne and Luberon, working in the evocative and mold-filled cellar where his father has always operated. The impact of his personal touch on the wines becomes apparent with their initial releases in 2014. Sylvain finds fulfillment in maintaining a small-scale estate, currently managing less than 3 hectares of land. Those familiar with the various wines produced by Jean-Marc Morey may notice that Sylvain does not offer the same range. While he does indeed divide some specific parcels with his sister, they also divide complete parcels that are too small to further split. Nonetheless, the majority of Sylvain's holdings lie in Chassagne Montrachet, where he presents three impressive white wines.
