About the Producer
Domaine Roux-Duval results from the encounter between two historical winegrowing families specialized in the excellent Chardonnay of the Burgundy and Champagne regions. It was born out of the remarkable friendship between Christian Roux and Jean-Charles Duval when they were still studying viticulture at the Beaune secondary school in Burgundy. Their dream of creating an exceptional estate together was finally realized 35 years later by their respective sons, Sebastien Roux and Edouard Duval. This estate came into being after acquiring an exceptional parcel of vines creating a rare wine, the prestigious Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru “Abbaye de Morgeot”. This unique location symbolizes Edouard and Sebastien’s philosophy: to produce emblematic and high-calibre wines. Each vintage is produced in a restricted number of 300 magnum bottles, numbered and reserved for seasoned amateurs. A tailored preparation is undertaken for each buyer, who has the privilege of having their name inscribed on the bottle. Every bottle is decorated, polished, and secured by hand. Therefore each is unique.
