About the Producer
Rimauresq vineyard, located in the heart of Provence just 20 minutes from Toulon, spans 60 hectares at the foot of Notre Dame des Anges. Named after the Moors River, it benefits from a unique microclimate influenced by the Mistral wind and its elevation of 140 to 190 meters. The vineyard is planted with nine noble grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Cabernet Sauvignon for reds; Rolle for whites; and Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Tibouren, and Ugni-Blanc for rosés. A modern half-buried cellar employs gravity to treat the grapes gently. Reconstituted in 1882 after a phylloxera crisis, Rimauresq received a silver medal in Toulon in 1885 for its wine quality. Acquired by the Wemyss family in 1988, the estate began its transition to organic farming in 1997, emphasizing sustainability and quality.
