The 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros wafts from the glass with aromas of orange oil, nutmeg, freshly baked bread, peach and white flowers. Full-bodied, ample and textural, it's satiny and layered, with racy acids and a long, baking spice-inflected finish.

The 2019 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros is lovely, bursting with aromas of golden orchard fruit, mandarin oil, white flowers, buttery pastry and vanilla pod. Full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's ample and enveloping, with racy girdling acids and a long, intense finish.

Billaud produced a mere 450 liters of the 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros, a full-bodied, fleshy wine that's deep and concentrated, redolent of honeycomb, orange rind and vanilla pod. Despite its broad shoulders, it's racy and precise and concludes with a saline finish, but it won't be easy to find.

The 2016 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros is also a great success for the vintage, offering up complex aromas of mandarin, lemon oil, crisp peach, green apple and oatmeal. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, glossy and textural, with a rich, layered profile but good balancing acids. It's already quite approachable.
