The 2020 Meursault Les Tessons has a slightly yeasty nose at the moment, showing a little reduction. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity. There is impressive weight for a Village Cru (then again, this is Les Tessons) with a lightly spiced finish. Very fine.

The 2018 Meursault Les Tessons comes from a single parcel close to Jean-Marc Roulot’s. It has a very pure and very Meursault bouquet with all the leitmotifs one expects: grilled walnut, touches of almond and a little passion fruit. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. A subtle spiciness defines that finish, which offers just the right amount of salinity. Superb.

The 2019 Meursault Les Tessons has a knockout bouquet of vibrant honeysuckle and lemon thyme aromas flanked by hazelnut. The palate is well balanced with a lovely bitter note that gets the taste buds buzzing. Plenty of energy here, and very harmonious. This is a superb Les Tessons from Anne Morey.

Wafting from the glass with notes of citrus oil, pear, green apple, white flowers and freshly baked bread, the 2022 Meursault Les Tessons is medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, with a layered core of fruit, bright acids and a long, minty finish. At this early stage, it's somewhat reminiscent of the domaine's 2017 vintage.

The 2018 Meursault Les Tessons reveals a lovely bouquet that mingles scents of citrus oil and green pear with hints of white flowers, blanched almonds and honeycomb. Medium to full-bodied, textural but racy, it's beautifully seamless and complete, structured around lively acids and chalky dry extract.

The 2020 Meursault Les Tessons reveals aromas of crisp orchard fruit and orange oil mingled with hints of freshly baked bread and hazelnuts. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with tangy acids and chalky structuring extract, it's layered and seamless, standing out as the most complete of Morey's communal bottlings from Meursault.

The 2015 Meursault Le Tesson has a more extravagant bouquet when compared to the La Terre Blanche, with hints of menthol accompanying the citrus fruit and pineapple. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity that neatly offsets the generous guava and pineapple notes, leading to a very poised and energetic finish, with a long saline aftertaste.

The 2017 Meursault Les Tessons is superb—a wine that will be high up on my personal shopping list in this vintage—wafting from the glass with a reserved bouquet of green orchard fruit, lemon oil, crushed chalk and almond paste. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a concentrated, tight-knit core and an almost electric sense of energy, concluding with a long, tangy finish. As usual, it surpasses many of the appellation's premiers crus.

The 2013 Meursault les Tessons is more backward than the Meursault Village at this early stage. There are attractive limestone and wet pavement waiting in the wings to go on stage after bottling, but at the moment it is keeping its lips sealed. However, the palate is balanced with well-judged acidity that lends tension and poise, with a cheeky menthol note on the finish that I hope remains there post-bottling.

The 2003 Meursault Les Tessons (white) sports a nose of sage and stones. This focused, light to medium-bodied wine is suave, silky, and long. Its mineral, herbal, stone-like flavors linger in its seamless finish. Projected maturity: now-2010.

Full-bodied and well-balanced, the Meursault Tessons exhibits a fat, oily texture. It will drink well early, but will improve over the course of 5 to 6 years. This note is the result of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29. Ratings with a range of scores in parentheses indicate the wine was tasted from cask, not bottle.

Morey's 1997 Meursault Les Tessons reveals lively apricot, mineral, and hazelnut aromas. It is expansive, medium-to-full-bodied, and offers flavors reminiscent of poached pears, lemon juice, and an assortment of salty nuts. Additionally, this wine has excellent grip and an impressively clean finish. Anticipated maturity: now-2004.
