2019
The 2019 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru, which had finished its malo in late spring, was actually still quite reduced on the nose. The palate is well balanced, but the 30% new oak will need a few more weeks to become fully integrated. After the harmonious Les Tessons, this was quite difficult to get a handle on, though all the component parts are there. Just needs time. I will defer judgment for now.

The 2020 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a wonderful crushed stony nose that is quintessentially Perrières, very delineated and poised. The palate is well balanced with superb poise, fresh and vibrant with real depth and grip on the finish, hints of tangerine and spices on the aftertaste. This already just feels so self-assured and classy...bon vin.
