About
In grand cru village Verzy, Montagne de Reims, the Deville family has been actively involved in grape growing for four generations. Since 1963 they produce their own champagnes under the label Pierre Deville. Alan Corbeaux, great grandchild of the founder, is stepping in now. In 2017 he started the transformation towards organic and biodynamic practices in the five hectares of vineyards, where both pinot noir (60%) and chardonnay (40%) are planted. The Champagne Copin Chardonnay by Pierre Deville is a Blanc de Blancs fruit of 100% Chardonnay harvested in the Lieux-Dits Les Epinettes and Les Aloulettes, both old vineyards located in Verzy, classified as 100% Grand Cru village of Montagne de Reims. Harvest 2020 with first fermentation in fût de chêne. Dosage 2 g/l for this large and intense Extra Brut Champagne produced in an extremely limited quantity.
