Critic ratings

vinous 2019

Rating: 87 –89

The 2019 Meursault Village comes from three parcels and had been racked in mid-July. It is quite backward and primal on the nose with light patisserie and floral aromas. The palate is well balanced with a tangy opening, touches of marmalade and quince on the entry with a focused, straightforward finish. A good, solid Meursault rather than anything spectacular.

vinous 2020

Rating: 90 –92

The 2020 Meursault Village comes from three parcels in the appellation. It has a lovely nose, well defined with touches of orange pith, citrus fruit and a touch of white flowers. The palate is lively on the entry, spicier than I was expecting with touches of ginger and lemongrass. Vibrant on the finish with a saline aftertaste. Delicious.
