A blend of Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Clairette, the 2021 Cotes du Rhone Le Caillou Blanc delivers plenty of fruit: tangerine, pineapple, stone fruit and lemon notes may all be found on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is crisp and tart. It may lack a bit of richness and concentration, but it's an attractive, early-drinking effort.

The floral and pineapple-scented 2019 Cotes du Rhone Le Caillou Blanc contains 50% Viognier, 20% Clairette and 15% each Grenache and Roussanne. The Viognier's apricot notes come through more strongly on the palate, which is medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with a plump, silky feel in the mouth and a bright, zesty finish. It's a terrific daily drinker that should retail around $25.

The 2020 Cotes du Rhone Le Caillou Blanc is about half estate fruit. An unoaked blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Clairette and 15% each Roussanne and Viognier, it offers up ripe pear, stone fruit and melon aromas on the nose. In the mouth, it's medium to full-bodied, plump and nicely rounded, lush and easy to drink. Consume it young.

The 2022 Cotes du Rhone Le Caillou Blanc is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette and Viognier, including some purchased fruit from the north of Vaucluse. It sees only stainless steel. Notes of pear, tangerine and anise appear on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is plump and appealing, with hints of chalk and lime zest on the finish. Drink it young.

The classic 2015 Côtes du Rhône Le Caillou Blanc is another beauty with the distinct, saline-like minerality present in all of these whites, as well as lots of white peach, white flowers and apple peel. Medium-bodied, textured, fresh and impeccably made, it’s another no brainer to enjoy over the coming couple of years.

A blend of 40% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 15% Bourboulenc and 15% Viognier, the 2017 Cotes du Rhone Le Caillou Blanc spent time exclusively in stainless steel. It's a medium-bodied, crisp fruit salad of tangerine, nectarine and lime, with a zesty burst of acids on the finish. Drink it over the next couple of years.
