A blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that was disgorged with eight grams per liter dosage, the 2008 Brut Millésimé is showing nicely today, unwinding in the glass with aromas of green apple, pear, orange oil, spices and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, bright and precise, with tangy acids and a pillowy mousse, it concludes with a penetrating finish. This is aging very gracefully.

The 2008 Brut Millésimé opens in the glass with lovely aromas of lemon oil, green apple, warm biscuits, iodine and mandarin. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and seamless, with an elegantly layered core, a fine, pinpoint mousse and racy balancing acids, concluding with a long and incipiently biscuity finish. This is a classy vintage Champagne that will develop beautiful complexity in the cellar.

Aromas of lemon, fresh bread, crisp green apple, fresh mirabelle and wet stones introduce Laurent-Perrier's 2007 Brut Millésimé, a medium-bodied wine that's stricter and leaner than the 2008 tasted alongside, with a tensile, chalky profile. While it remains youthful and vibrant, it's drinking well today.

The 2006 Brut Millésimé is the polar opposite of the 2007, bursting from the glass with a rich bouquet of honeyed pears, smoke, yellow stone fruit and buttered toast. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and gourmand, it's broad and enveloping, with a layered core and a nicely defined finish. This is in its prime today.

The 2006 Millésime Brut reflects the vintage as well as the house style of Laurent-Perrier. It blends the vivacious freshness and white fruit flavors of Chardonnay with the full ripeness of Pinot Noir (50/50). Citrus-yellow in color and with a fine perlage, the 2006 opens with intense and fresh citrus aromas intermixed with white fruit, apricot, brioche and nougat flavors. Mouth-filling, round and fresh on the palate, this vintage reveals a stunning finesse and salinity in the lean and elegant, persistent and refreshing finish. This is a very well-defined and stimulatingly fresh and mineral vintage Champagne with a silky texture. A remarkably good 2006.

The 2004 Brut Millésimé is expressive, bursting with aromas of orange, smoke, buttered toast, white flowers, almonds and pear. Medium-bodied, pillowy and giving, with lively acids and a charming core of fruit, it concludes with a chalky, sapid finish. This is the most evolved of these five vintage bottlings from Laurent-Perrier, something that's consistent with the style of the vintage.

White golden in color the 2004 Millésime Brut offers a clear but rather simple and fruity bouquet with some nutty flavors. Full-bodied, fresh and quite intense on the palate, but the sweetness is too much as the carbonic acid is slightly too aggressive for my personal taste. The wine lacks purity, clarity and the stimulating character the finest Champagnes have.

The 2002 Brut Millésimé is drinking brilliantly, bursting with aromas of pear, yellow orchard fruit, citrus oil, peach, smoke and toasted bread. Medium to full-bodied, layered and complete, it's elegantly textural and broad-shouldered, with lovely depth and a sapid finish. Along with the 2008, this is my favorite vintage of the decade chez Laurent-Perrier, and it's drinking very well today.

The 2008 Brut Millésimé is a gorgeous wine that expresses all of the pedigree of the vintage beautifully. Complex and nuanced, with tons of class, the 2008 has so much to offer. Dried pear, mint, chamomile, crushed rock, dried flowers and pastry overtones are all laced together in this finely-knit, resonant Champagne. At $75.00 a bottle, Laurent-Perrier’s Brut Millésimé is one the best widely available vintage Champagne readers find from this historic harvest.

As usual, this latest release of the 2015 Brut Millésimé is a blend of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Offering up aromas of confit citrus, blanched almonds, spices and a delicate smoky reduction, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and enrobing, with good depth at the core and a slightly smoky, phenolic finish. Dosage: eight grams per liter.

Medium to full-bodied, enrobing and charming, it's precise and layered, with good depth at the core, resulting from the 2012 vintage, enhanced by bright acids and concluding with a delicate, vanilla-inflected finish.
