(from parcels in Fuissé; 50% aged in barrels of two to five years of age): Pale, bright yellow. Inviting scents of orange zest, lemon and spices. The palate offers an attractive amalgam of juicy acidity and slightly exotic citrus zest character. Doesn't show the personality of the estate's top bottlings but nicely done. The lightly saline finish shows a light touch. Incidentally, Braccini told me that her 2016s typically have 4.2 or 4.3 grams per liter of acidity, about the same as the 2015s.

The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé comes from close to 32 separate plots, vinified in concrete vats and used oak. It has a well-defined and focused bouquet, light floral scents emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, nicely focused, not complex yet with impressive persistence and mineralité. Very fine.
