Rating: 92 –92

Struck flint and hints of sweet corn and toasted grain accent white peaches and ripe pineapple on the nose of the 2016 Chardonnay. It's medium to full-bodied but comes across as fresh and lively, with a crisp, mouthwatering finish.

Rating: 91 –91

With a gorgeous apricot, guava and pink grapefruit-scented nose, plus suggestions of cedar, struck match and honeyed toast, the 2014 Chardonnay fills the mouth with rich butterscotch, oak and stone fruit flavors, complimented by a satiny texture and a lively backnbone, finishing long.

Rating: 91 –91

The 2013 Chardonnay has an understated, very classy nose of white peaches, fresh apples and lemon curd with hints of honeysuckle, almonds and baker's yeast. Medium-bodied, the intensity of flavors - both citrusy and savory - does not disappoint with gorgeous ginger and nut layers and a lovely long finish.

Rating: 92 –92

The 2012 Chardonnay is made from all Mendoza and Clone 95 clones and undergoes full malolactic fermentation. On the nose it gives lovely white peach, apricot and warm apple notes with nuances of cashews, toast and ginger. The very elegant, medium-bodied palate is fine and fresh through the long, creamy finish. This s a more gentle and reticent expression - both mineral and fine - and should age well.

The 2011 Chardonnay opens with some sulfides on the nose before tons of vibrant stone fruit and grapefruit characters emerge along with notes of ginger and honey, baking bread and almonds. Medium-bodied with tons of flavor, the sulphide notes lend a savoriness on the palate melding with a citrusy lift in the long finish.

Rating: 91 –91

The 2011 Chardonnay is redolent of apricots, pineapple and toast, with attractive hints of struck match, cashews and cedar. Full, flavorsome and voluptuous in the mouth, there’s a wonderful creaminess to the texture complimented by rich, apricot and nut flavors before it finishes with great length. Drink it now to 2017+. robert_parker 2010

Rating: 92 –92

The 2010 Chardonnay exudes savory, sulfide notes over warm apricots and tropical fruits. Medium-bodied and elegant in the mouth, this Chardonnay is aging very gracefully and concludes with a long, mineral finish.

Rating: 93 –93

The 2010 Chardonnay is still drinking great. It's subtly toasty (it was fermented and aged in 20% new barriques), but it still boasts seductive white peach and pineapple fruit. Despite 100% malolactic, it doesn't show any buttery notes, just a creamy richness across the palate and a lingering, silky finish.

The 2010 Chardonnay reveals lovely orange peel, pink grapefruit and meal nose with hints of sulphides, honeysuckle and ginger. Full-bodied, rich and silken, it has a good, crisp acid line, tons of citrus fruit and toast flavor and a long finish. Beautifully balanced throughout, consider drinking it now through 2017. robert_parker 2009

Rating: 92 –92

Naturally fermented in French oak barriques, 25% new, and aged for 12 months with occasional lees stirring and full malo-lactic, the 2009 Chardonnay gives expressive notes of ripe apricots, guava, green mango and apple tart over nuances of buttered oatmeal and crushed cashews. Full bodied, ripe and rich in the mouth, it has a wonderfully creamy texture and generous amount of fruit flavor, finishing long with lingering honeyed peach notes. Delicious now, it should continue to cellar to 2016+. Greywacke does not currently have a USA importer.

Rating: 95 –95

The 2021 Chardonnay leads with a nutty, spicy nose, loads of savory curry leaf, a nice flinty reduction and crushed nuts. It’s a brilliant wine with lovely flow. Superb. A mix of Mendoza clone and 95, it was pressed to barrel with 100% solids. This was tasted with Kevin Judd at Greywacke in September 2023. Sealed under screw cap.

robert_parker 2019

Rating: 93 –93

The 2019 Chardonnay leads with a spicy, savory nose of salted ripe yellow peach, preserved citrus, crushed rocks and wet limestone. In the mouth, the wine is fulsome and complete, with wall-to-wall flavor that lingers after the wine is gone. There's something obvious about the Mendoza clone flavors, but I'll admit I like it very much. Good wine here. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Tasted with Kevin Judd at Greywacke in September 2023, The 2010 Chardonnay leads with lemon curd pie on the nose. In the mouth, the wine is salty, with a spiced, weighted back palate tapered by juicy, moorish acidity. This is gorgeous wine. Super fresh and impressive, with years to go. Matured in barrel for 18 months. Sealed under screw cap.

robert_parker 2022

Rating: 92 –92

The 2022 Chardonnay is ripe and powerful, with intense fruit in the mouth, buttered popcorn characters and yellow peach. The acidity is as bright as the fruit is ripe, a characteristic of New Zealand Chardonnay that is both distinct and consistent. This is a little more obvious and fruit-driven than last year's iteration.

robert_parker 2016

Rating: 94 –94

The 2016 Chardonnay is toasty and has a flinty/curry leaf note, with a lean, gravelly palate and a rumbling undercurrent of powerful fruit. This is long, with a certain race and pace to the acidity and driving force through the finish. It's impressive. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

A harmonious blend of roasted hazelnuts and toasted grain accents pineapple fruit in Greywacke's 2015 Chardonnay. This looks to be the best vintage of Chardonnay Kevin Judd has made to date, showing great texture, class and length. It's medium to full-bodied yet shows great length and elegance to its citrusy fruit profile.
