The 2015 Extra Brut Le Monte des Chrétiens, 100% Chardonnay, exudes depth and richness in its first impression. Like so many wines in this vintage, the Mont des Chrétiens has a slight vegetal character that past vintages have not shown. The 2015 has only recently been disgorged, so more time in bottle may help, but I don’t see the explosive energy or intensity of the very best editions. Dosage is 1 gram per liter.
