A blend of 81% Sauvignon Blanc and 19% Sémillon, the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc sings of fresh white peaches, pink grapefruit and pineapple with hints of lemon drops, lime blossom and mown grass. Medium-bodied, the palate is soft on the acid yet refreshing, featuring bags of tropical and citrus fruit with a satiny texture, finishing on a satisfying savory note.

The 2015 Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of 79% Sauvignon Blanc and 21% Semillon. It offers attractive notes of melon, fig and caramelized citrus, and has a texture more akin to Chardonnay than Sauvignon. It also has a very long finish. This is a top flight Sauvignon Blanc to drink over the next several years.

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is a little youthfully closed to begin, revealing with coaxing fragrant lime blossom, yuzu and grapefruit scents plus hints of wet pebbles and mown grass. Medium-bodied, the palate has plenty of citrusy zest on offer with a racy backbone and chalky finish.

Rating: 88 –88

Partially barrel-fermented with a slight addition of Semillon, the mid-weight 2012 Sauvignon Blanc possesses attractive fig, lemon blossom, caramelized grapefruit and orange marmalade notes. This delicate but intense, stylish Sauvignon should provide considerable pleasure over the next several years. The iconic flagship wine that began Duckhorn’s success in 1978 is the Merlot Three Palms Vineyard, one of the first single vineyard Merlots produced, and no doubt an inspiration for the Merlot boom in the 1980s. This has always been one of the benchmark wines for this varietal. Tel. (866) 367-9945
