Critic ratings

vinous 2019

Rating: 90 –90

Translucent onion skin. Orange zest, persimmon, red berries and a subtle floral nuance on the fragrant nose. Concentrated but lithe and seemingly weightless, offering tangy red currant, strawberry and blood orange flavors that pick up a spicy nuance on the back half. Finishes brisk and tight, with repeating spiciness and a sneaky floral quality. This wine has the depth of flavor to handle full-flavored foods, but there's no excess fat here, either. A solid value.

vinous 2021

Rating: 89 –89

Pale orange-pink. Fresh raspberry, nectarine and tangerine aromas show good clarity and pick up a subtle herbal nuance with air. Juicy and supple in texture, presenting subtly sweet red berry and pit fruit flavors and a hint of orange zest. Finishes silky and gently spicy, leaving a hint of candied orange zest behind. - Josh Raynolds
