The 2020 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a taut and fresh, slightly flinty bouquet, touches of lemon balm and cough candy in the background. The palate is very well balanced with a fine acidic spice, a bitter edge here, quite saline with a persistent finish. Excellent. Closure: Diam

The 2019 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru, which will only be released in 75ml bottles, has a fragrant nose of dried honey, praline, hazelnut and orange blossom that gains intensity with aeration. The palate is quite lush and honeyed on the entry, though there is sufficient countervailing acidity and a delicate touch of spice toward the finish. Very fine.
