Rating: 91 –91
The 2014 Pinot Gris Réserve is based on grapes from the Heimbourg (limestone), Brand and Sommerberg (both granite soils). The bouquet is remarkably clear and ripe for the 2014 vintage and intertwines ripe fruit aromas with smoky and herbal flavors. Full-bodied, round and creamy, this is a rich, ripe and semi-dry Pinot with fine tannins and a piquant acidity. It is very elegant and really ripe, and should be aged for at least eight to ten years. Very fine tannins here.
