About the Producer
Maison Pinot Chevauchet has been a family-run Champagne producer for four generations, crafting approximately 32,000 bottles annually. With a 4-hectare vineyard spread across 27 plots in the Premier Cru villages of Moussy and Pierry, they exclusively use their grapes for Champagne production, ensuring independence from merchants. The vineyard benefits from a clay-limestone terroir rich in flint, located just 4 km from Épernay. The house emphasizes excellence through a minimum aging period of five years for all vintages and minimal added sulfites for optimal preservation. Their commitment to sustainable viticulture is evident in their practices, including natural grassing, mechanical weeding, and organic soil nutrition. Certified in Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC) and High Environmental Value (HVE) since 2018, they are also undergoing organic conversion to further enhance their environmentally friendly practices.
