Description
The Blanc de Noirs Brut cuvee, an ambitious blend from the great Pinot Noir terroirs of Ay and Mareuil-sur-Ay, is crafted only in very fine years and is result of a careful selection of the year's best wines. Full-bodied and powerful, this cuvee is nonetheless overflowing with elegance and freshness. It can be enjoyed equally on its own or as an accompaniment to an entire meal.

The 2008 Blanc de Noirs, here in its first vintage, replaces the Reserve Millesime and is meant to be the alter ego to the house's Blanc de Blancs. Freshly cut flowers, mint and sweet red berries inform a Champagne built on silkiness and finesse. The Blanc de Noirs is a blend of fruit from Premier and Grand Cru sites, mostly in and around Mareuil, with about 1/3rd of fruit from the northern side of the Montagne de Reims centered around Mailly.
