Tasting notes

Reviewed by: Josh Raynolds
Light, bright orange. Vibrant, mineral-accented red berry and orange zest aromas are complicated by anise, smoky minerals and white pepper. Spicy and focused on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering juicy red berry and blood orange flavors and a touch of buttered toast. Finishes with good spicy cut and cling, leaving a bitter berry skin note behind. Eight percent of this blend is still red wine from the grand crus Avize and Ay. L3011001133.
About the Producer
The chateau of Perrier-Jouët Champagne was founded in 1811, the name was composed of Mr. Pierre-Nicolas and Mrs. Marie Perrier (added her maiden name “Jouët”). They have successfully sold the wine to UK since 1815. After a few years, they also opened up the American market. These successes made more market demands. Therefore they started exploring more vineyards, like Avize, Cramant and so on. Most of the vineyards grow Chardonnay. This makes the foundation of unique style of Perrier- Jouët champagne.
