The estate's main cuvée, the 2018 Cote Rotie la Giroflarie, is inky in hue and boasts promising notes of asphalt and black olives. Full-bodied and silky in texture, it looks to be an exceptional vintage for this fourth-generation property.

Deep, glistening ruby. Ripe dark berries, candied flowers, smoky bacon and a spicy nuance on the expansive nose. In a fleshy style for this domaine, offering juicy red and blue fruit preserve, mocha, cola and allspice flavors and a savory olive accent. Finishes smooth, broad and appealingly sweet, leaving repeating berry and spice notes behind. One-third new oak.
About the Producer
Patrick Jasmin operates a family-run winery in Côte-Rôtie, Northern Rhône, where he cultivates grapes on steep, terraced vineyards. As the fourth generation to manage the domaine, he emphasizes traditional winemaking practices while embracing the challenges of the rugged terrain. The vineyards are primarily planted with 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier, with a focus on preserving the ancient Syrah variety known as “la vieille sérine.” Patrick vinifies grapes from different parcels separately, blending them before bottling to create a balanced Côte-Rôtie. His commitment to terroir and minimal intervention contrasts with modern trends, resulting in wines that gain complexity with age.
