Tasting notes

Reviewed by: Lisa Perrotti-Brown
The 2015 Opalie de Coutet is a little youthfully mute, revealing delicate green guava, pineapple and lime leaves notes with wafts of crushed rocks and yeast extract. Dry and medium-bodied with great intensity, it fills the palate with citrus and mineral layers, supported by a racy acid line and finishing long. Should cellar gracefully over 4-5 years.

The 2015 Opalie de Coutet has a fresh, nicely delineated bouquet with dandelion and honeysuckle scents complementing the citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity, a little fatness on the mid-palate and a lovely smear of acacia honey toward the finish. Excellent.
