The 2000 Barbaresco Basarin, with pleasurable fruit and smoky licorice tones on the nose, is lively and fresh in flavor, firm in structure, but with the highest level of tannins and acidity. About the Producer
Owned by the Minuto family since the mid-1800s, Moccagatta is a Barbaresco hill. Mario Minuto, born in 1910, founded the Moccagatta winery in 1952, taking its name from the farmhouse's location. Through three generations, the family's dedication to vineyards continued. In the 1970s, Franco and Sergio enhanced wine quality, focusing on vineyard care and modern equipment. Today, Stefano and Martina, their children, sustain this legacy, crafting elegant wines reflecting the unique terroir of Langa del Barbaresco.
