Tasting notes

The 2016 Chablis Grand Cru les Clos offers one of the more satisfying aromatics from Long-Depaquit: citrus lemon, flint, smoke and delicate touches of passionfruit and peach. The palate is nicely balanced and though not the most complex Les Clos from this producer that I have ever tasted, at least there is an essence of tension and tautness on the finish.
About the Producer
Château Long-Depaquit is located at the heart of the village of Chablis, in Burgundy’s Yonne department. An exceptional 65-hectare legacy, their vineyards benefit from a sustainable approach to viticulture. Limiting yields and keeping interventions to a minimum during the vinification process help create authentic, mineral, elegant wines. Barrel ageing is used in moderation to best preserve the expression of each terroir.
