About the Producer
Lieser winery with a long and glorious history, which was founded in 1904. Owned by Thomas Haag currently. They own 25 hectares of eight Grosse Lagen (Grand Crus) spread over 185 different plots. Under the leadership of Thomas, the Schloss Lieser winery joined the VDP organization the following year, adopting higher standards than Fritz Haag for vineyard management and more sophisticated winemaking operations, and was awarded the five-cluster grapes rated the highest by the Gault & Millau Guide. The main family is parallel. Thomas attaches great importance to the cultivation of grapes, and the ripeness when harvested is often higher than the regulatory requirements on the wine label. The topography and soil of each vineyard and the terroir personality brought out are extremely demanding. In recent years, many influential professional media, including "Vinum", "Feinschmecker" and "Eichelman", have also unanimously given the highest star rating. Tied with world-class German representative wineries Egon Müller and Joh. Jos. Prüm.
