The 2015 La Reserve de Leoville Barton is a delicious, racy Saint-Julien to drink now and over the next handful of years. The natural radiance of the year comes through beautifully in this supple, caressing wine. Although not especially complex, the 2015 is flat-out delicious. This is a terrific showing for the second wine of Leoville Barton.

The 2015 La Réserve de Léoville-Barton is plump, juicy and forward, all qualities that make it an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. There is lovely pliancy to the dark cherry, plum, spice and new leather flavors. Although the 2015 is not especially complex, it is engaging and delicious, which is what second wines are for.

The 2015 Réserve de Léoville-Barton offers pretty blackberry and wild strawberry scents on the well defined nose. The palate is medium-bodied with sharp tannin, fresh and lively with a slight confit finish. An absolute pleasure. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

A round and velvety second wine from Léoville Barton with currants, minerals and sandalwood. Medium to full body, ultra-fine tannins and a vivid finish. No new oak. Drink now or hold.
