The 2020 Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche Grand Cru is consistent with my previous tasting in January. Exquisite definition on the nose, real mineralité here. The palate is intense and penetrating, touches of orange zest and spice building wonderfully towards the finish. Excellent.

The 2020 Montrachet Grand Cru (Marquis de Laguiche) has a complex bouquet with orchard fruit, crushed rock, orange blossom and light liquorice scents in the background lending a touch of exoticism. The palate is very well balanced with great depth and dimension. Perfectly judged acidity, quite powerful on the finish, this is a multi-layered Montrachet that will require several years in bottle. Love the flintiness on the aftertaste!
