Still youthful, this Auxey-Duresses is rich and creamy, but retains a lovely coolness, with aromas of tarte au citron and lemon blossom that keep it bright on the medium- to full-bodied palate. Discreet and well-integrated, leesy complexity through the long, silky finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Auxey-Duresses Blanc Les Ecussaux 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet with yellow plum and light tertiary scents, with hints of white chocolate coming through with time. The palate is well-balanced with modest depth and gentle grip. It just needs more acidity, grip and substance on the finish. This is one I might have just picked a bit later.
About the Producer
Between 2006 and 2020 Domaine was the property of Scotsman Sir David Murray. A new team arrived at Domaine in 2014 after generations of work by the Jessiaume family. Investments were made in the renovation of the winery and installations. Harvesting is done manually in boxes, also sorted. A turning point for 2020Domaine Jessiaume. Investor Sir David Murray sold the domain name to Dr Jean-François Le Bigot. The latter, passionate about Burgundy, hopes to boost Domaine's qualitative trajectory. Domaine Jessiaume is located in Santenay, Côte de Beaune, in the heart of Viticole, Burgundy. The 15 hectares of vineyards are distributed in the cities of Beaune, Pomade, Volnay, Aux-Dulces, Santenay and Chacy-le-Camp.
