About the Producer
1881 The great-great-grandfather Anton Jermann arrives in Farra from the Austrian wine production area of Burgenland: this is the year the Jermann company was founded. Angelo Jermann, who is now 93 years old, not only continues to carry on the family vine-growing tradition, but at the same time passionately dedicates himself to cattle breeding, helping to make the Jermann brand an ethical and successful, all round. Silvio Jermann, son of Angelo and Bruna, who graduated in oenology at both Conegliano and San Michele, revolutionizes the family business: upon returning from his long overseas work experience, he creates the Vintage Tunina blend. At Jermann, the study of biodiversity has been one of our main objectives from the outset: both with regard to the ecosystem that hosts the vine and in relation to the environments in which we grow our other crops. The surveys carried out in the estates of Ruttars and in those of Lonzano and Villanova are excellent and indicate that nature is extremely active and in excellent health with a presence ranging from 75 to 130 different species.
